Kibo Laboratory International Space Station PatchJapan's considerable contribution to the International Space Station is the Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) named Kibo, meaning Hope. Kibo is arriving at the Station in three pieces. The first two pieces were delivered during STS-123 and STS-124. The third piece is scheduled to arrive at the Station aboard STS-127 in 2009. This finely embroidered patch shows two overlapping circles. It is 4.5 inches wide by 2.75 inches high. |
